話が達者となり自己主張を始めた頃の幼児に、正にうってつけの絵本である。「私の人形、あなたには貸さない。」と大きな文字で左のページにあり、右にはその時のイメージを表すイラストがあり、そのページ下に左ページよりは小さな文字で「でも多分、、、、」と書かれている。その右ページを上に上げるとその裏には大きな文字で「この人形と一緒に遊べれるよ」とあり、あたらに現われたイラストは笑顔で仲良く遊ぶ同じ子が出てくる。「ボクの三輪車だから乗っては駄目」「でも一緒になら乗っても良いよ｣といった具合に各状況が解り易く描かれている。様々な人種の子ども達がShareをする様子には、大人でも楽しくさせられる。

メキシコの少女が、自分の日常生活の中にある形について問いかけてくる。”丸いのはソンブレロ、そしてお月様。～～～そしてトルティーやタコスも丸いよ。”と、英語の文章にスペイン語の単語も挿入されているが、巻末でそれぞれのスペイン語単語の説明が英語でされている。伝統的な物ばかりではないが、さりげなく伝統的なメキシコの日常が紹介されている。メキシコの明るさを落ち着いた色彩に描いているイラストは、独特の趣がある。形に関心を持ち始めた子ども達と、ゲーム感覚で楽しむことを促してくれる絵本である。
