In Persia, there was a wealthy merchant who traveled the world for his business. On one of his journeys to India, he received a beautiful parrot as a gift from a friend. The merchant loved the bird and fed the best food as keeping the parrot in a shiny golden cage. But, the parrot was sad, and asked the merchant to pass his message to his friend parrot in India while the merchant traveling there. It’s a story about communication of two parrots, and also life lesson for human being.

ペルシャの街に、世界中を商用で旅している金持ちの商人がいた。インドに旅した時、友人から美しいオウムをプレゼントされた。その商人はオウムを大事にして、豪華な食事を与え、煌く黄金の鳥かごで飼っていた。しかし、オウムは悲しそうであった。商人がインドへ旅に出かける時、オウムはインドにいる友人のオウムへの伝言を商人に頼んだ。これは二羽のオウムのコミュニケーションの話であり、かつ人間への人生教訓の話でもある。

Green Pants

Jamesonは緑色のズボンが大好きであった。緑色のズボンをはいていれば、何でも出来た。しかし、いとこの結婚式での大役を頼まれてしまった。彼はタキシードを着なくてはならず、しかもズボンは黒であった。最後まで黒のズボンをはく決心が出来なかったJamesonであったが、、、自分も含めて、皆を満足させることが出来た。自分の主張を通しながらも、彼は結婚式を祝う為に協調することも忘れなかった。

This year as Vivian and her grandmother climb the mesa to pick pine nuts, Vivian is disrespectful to the trees and the land. Louise and Andie: The art of friendship

Louise loves art more than anything. She takes great delight in finding her new neighbor, Andie, also loves art. Louise and Andie should become good friends each other, but liking the same thing doesn’t always mean they agree on it. Their friendship, like art, can require collaboration.

A Morning with Grandpa

Mei Meiのお祖父さんGong Gongが、庭で太極拳の練習をしていた。その動きに関心を示したMei Meiにお祖父さんが太極拳の動きを教えたが、Mei Meiは自分なりの解釈で動いた。その後、立場が変わって、Mei Mei が学校で習ったYogaの動きをお祖父さんに教えた。それぞれの伝統的で健康的な動きを通して、二人の絆が伝わると同時に、年代を越えて新しいことに共に挑戦する喜びも祝福している絵本。

The Great Spruce

Alec loves to climb trees, especially the great spruce which his grandfather planted near their house long before Alec was born. Every Christmas, Alec and his grandpa decorate this tree, stringing tinsel and lights through its branches. The one winter, three men from the nearby city ask if they can take it to be part of the city’s Christmas celebration. Alec doesn’t want to chop down the spruce, and comes up with a plan to save his tree and the diverse people’s city celebration in this delightful holiday tale.

Alecは木登りが好きであった。とりわけ、彼が生まれる以前にお祖父さんが植えたトウヒ(常緑樹の一種）の巨木に登るのは大好きであった。毎年クリスマスにはお祖父さんと一緒に、この木の枝を電球と装飾で隅から隅までめぐらした。ある冬、近くの街から3人の人が来て、この木をクリスマスのお祝いをする街の人々の為に使いたいと申し出があった。Alecは木を切ることは絶対にいやであったが、木を切ることなく根元から掘り起こして運搬する考えを思いついた。クリスマスシーズンの心暖まる物語は、描かれた多彩なる街の人々と共に楽しめれる。

Everybody Serves Soup
