Centering on the love triangle between the Danish King Christian VII, the royal physician who is a German man of enlightenment and idealism Struensee, and the young but strong Queen Caroline Mathilda originated from England. It is the story, in the late 18th century, of a passionate and forbidden romance that changed an entire nation.

Directed by Darrell Roodt (2011 )                                                                                 Autobiographical story of Winnie Mandela born in 1936, who is an actual activist in the country of South Africa.  22 years old Winnie got marry to Nelson Mandela, a rising political star, and their two daughters were born.  When Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for protesting the brutal Apartheid government, Winnie worked hard to win his freedom and to carry on his message of peace and equality. After Nelson Mandela won to be free, they divorced in 1992.

1936年生まれのWinnieは、南アフリカにおける実在する女性活動家。22歳の時にネルソン・マンデラと結婚し２人の娘が授かったが、終身刑で服役中のネルソン・マンデラが解放された後の1992年に離婚となった。愛することにも、苦悩することにも、戦うことにも真剣なWinnieは、ネルソン・マンデラの精神的な支えでもあり、又社会から批判を受ける行動もあった。そんな波乱万丈のWinnieの人生を、米国人女優のJennifer Hudsonが熱演している。南アの歴史を物語る興味深い映画でもある。

 Based on a true adventure in 1947.  Norwegian explore Thor Heyerdahl crossed the Pacific ocean in a balsa wood raft Kon Tiki named from the god of Sun in Maya civilization, and his 101 days long journey started from Peru with other five men. The explore wanted to prove his theory that Native South American already back in pre-Columbian times could have crossed the sea to settle on Polynesian islands.

ノルウェー人冒険家Thor Heyerdahlの、ペルーから筏船を作って太平洋を越えポリネシア諸島に到達する海の道を証明させた実話の映画化。筏の名前はKon Tiki号で、マヤ文明の太陽の神の別名ではあるが、今日では南米先住民がポリネシア諸島に移住した説よりもアジア系先住民の移住のほうが支持されてはいる。説は説として、彼の偉業は第二次大戦後の世代に冒険心を起こさせたパイオニアであり、映画は人間の魂の限界と葛藤を描いている。「大海は、人々を隔てる為ではなく、つなげる為に存在していた」の台詞は考え深い。
