School is over, and having learned that every civilization has a staple food crop.  Wesley decides to plan a garden and start his own – civilization .  That is…He turns over a plot of earth in his yard, and plants begin to grow.  Soon they start to bear a curious-looking fruit.  As Wesley experiments, he discovers that the plants will provide him with food, clothing, shelter, and even recreation.  It isn’t long before bothe neighbors and classmates develop more than an idle curiosity as to exactly how Wesley is spending his summer vacation.

学校が終了して、総ての文明は食料確保と深く関わっていることを学んだ。Wesleyは庭に植物を植えて、自分自身の文明を築くことにした。つまり、、、庭の大地を掘り起こし、植物を育てる為に種を植えた。じきに、植物は見たこともない実をつけた。Wesleyが色々と試みるうちに、その植物が食べ物、着る物、シェルターやリクレーション道具まで提供してくれることを発見した。両隣の人達やクラスメート達が、Wesleyが夏休みをどのように過ごしているのか好奇心だけでなく実際に真似をするのに、そう時間はかからなかった。
