毎年その少女が訪れるのを、コテージは待っていた。彼女は夏ごとに家族と一緒にコテージに滞在して、子ども時代の忘れがたい思い出を沢山得られた。少女にとってお気に入りの場所であったが、ある年そのコテージには誰も来なかった。コテージはいつまでも待ったが、もはや今までの楽しさが戻ってこないのか心配になった。大切な夏の日の思い出を描きながら、少女とコテージの繋がりを通して、心に残る場所の大切さが伝わってくる。
