Lalla lives in a small town located in the Sahara Desert, and it’s in the Muslim country of Mauritania. Lalla wants to wear a malafa, the colorful traditional cloth women, like her mama and big sister, wear to cover their heads and clothes in public. After Lalla learns the important meaning to wear a malafa, she gets a chance to put a beautiful blue one.
