母の日のプレゼントを作る為に、生徒たちがそれぞれボタンを一つずつ学校のクラスに持ってきた。生徒達は母の日の祝い方の計画を、一人一人が発表する。そして、ボタンを使ったクラフト作りを紹介している。多様な生徒たちが、多様なアイデアで母の日を祝うのだが、母への愛情は皆同じである。この絵本制作者のAnneは母であり、Lizzyはその娘である。何十年にも渡って様々な母の日を祝ってきた２人であればこそ誕生できた絵本。
