両親と言う存在は、あれをしろこれをしろと煩い人達ではあるが、実は色々と使い道があるのだ、、、と、楽しく語りながら親子の関係を子ども達の視線から描いている。描かれている親子も様々な人種が登場し、何処の親子も同じなんだとの印象が自然と生まれる。数々の賞を得ているイラストレーターのお茶目な絵も、内容に良く合っている。短い英文なので、子ども向けのプレゼントとしても喜ばれるであろう。
