Inspired by a true success story of Aborigine girls in Australia.  Four Aborigine girls with beautiful voice challenge to get a chance to launch a professional career singing for U. S. troops in Vietnam.  Under the guidance of an Irish musician, the girls transform themselves and they catch many soldiers’ hearts with their singing voice.

1950年代のオーストラリアでは、肌の色の薄いアボリジニの子ども達を白人化する政策が行われていた。その政策の犠牲となった少女を誘って、アボリジニの娘達が、美声の喉に魂の歌声を響かせる。アイルランド人のマネージャーを見つけ、米軍の慰安コーラス・グループに選ばれ、ベトナム戦争の戦場へ。実話に基ずいた映画で、人種差別や人々の偏見と戦いながらも、人間味溢れる感動作品に仕上がっている。その成果の陰には、60年代の音楽も大いに活躍している。
