Based on the true story about the Jamaican bobsled team to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics, at Calgary Canada. Four Jamaican athletes, who have never even seen snow, deiced to challenge bobsled race at Winter Olympics. With few resources and virtually no clue about winter sports, they enlist the help of ex-champion American slider.

雪の降らないジャマイカの国から、ボブスレーチームを結成してオリンピックに参戦した選手達の物語。しかも、1988年カルガリー冬季オリンピックにおける実話を基に映画化された話は、ユーモアと感動で溢れている。雪の変わりに南国の砂丘の上で練習をする選手達のアイデアは、正に異文化の閉鎖性を打ち破る痛快感で、感動そのものである。
