「お昼だよ」との言葉と共に、アメリカを回り、世界を回って、子ども達がどのようなお昼を食べるのか描いた絵本。英文は短く詩のように流れ、子どもの名前と食べ物の名前に土地柄が表されているが、巻末には詳しく食べ物の解説が付いている。実に解り易く、世界の食生活の多様性と、食べられる幸せを、子ども達のみならず読者全員に教えてくれる絵本で、いつでも側におきたい絵本になりそうである。
